The 2nd Annual Conference on Taiwan Studies: Formosan Experience and Perspective will be held on April 7th from 9:00am to 5:00pm at University of Hawai‘i at Manoa, Pacific Ocean Science and Techonology Building #126/#127.
Organized by the Taiwanese Student Association (TWSA) of University of Hawai'i, the conference collects a dozens of Taiwan-related cross-discipinary studies including anthropology, economy, linguistics, meteorology, musicology, politics, psychology, sociology, etc. Two special sessions are Keynote Speech concernig U.S.-Taiwan relationship by Amb. Raymond Burghardt, Chairman of American Institute in Taiwan, and Film Presentation regarding the Grand Carriage of Tainan by Dr. Stephen Flanigan, Department of History of University of Hawaii at Manoa. Director General Paul Chang of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Honolulu is also invited to attend the conference.
