The Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) is pleased to announce that “Chronic Kidney Disease Quality Improvement Workshop” will be held on every Tuesday from August 16th to September 13th at the conference room of Central Health Region, Belize.
This workshop is conducted by seed instructors, Dr. Glenford Jones of Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital and Dr. Marvin Camal of La Loma Luz Adventist Hospital, who are currently trained in Taiwan from June to August this year. Besides, the Taiwan Nephrologist of Far Eastern Memorial Hospital, Dr. Kai-Hsiang Shu, will be the consultant and facilitator of this workshop during his stay from August 15th to September 14th.
The goal of this workshop is to assist general physicians identify potential risk factors for end stage renal disease and provide efficient measures to prevent or delay kidney disease progression. Those participants are from regional hospital, community hospital and polyclinic. After this workshop, they could apply up to date methods for screening, managing, monitoring and treating chronic kidney disease.
To strengthen the mutual cooperation in health fields and enhance the welfare of people between Belize and Taiwan are always the priority concerns for both countries. Through this workshop, we wish the prevention and control system on Chronic Renal Failure in Belize will be well effectively improved.
