The University of Belize (UB), in collaboration with the Museum of Belize, under the National Institute of Culture and History (NICH), held a lecture series last week, focusing on the national symbols of Belize.
Both lectures were scheduled for Wednesday March 29. The first lecture segment took place at the Bliss Centre for the Performing Arts, Belize City, while the second was held at the University of Belize Jaguar Auditorium, Belmopan City.
The first two lectures, focused on the Coat of Arms and National Flag of Belize, were presented by Director of Institute for Social and Cultural Research, Mr. Nigel Encalada. The lectures were a re-launching of an earlier series which was geared towards educating the public on the national symbols and their significance.
