Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), the foremost non-profit trade promotion organization in Taiwan, is pleased to announce its participation in GLOBE 2016. GLOBE, which is the biggest, and oldest Global Commercial Innovative Conference and Expo in North America, is an ideal platform for companies from Taiwan and North America to do business and boost trade relations.
This year, TAITRA co-organized with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Republic of China (Taiwan) and the Canadian Trade Office in Taipei (CTOT) to lead a delegation from Taiwan to GLOBE 2016. With CTOT's support, a fruitful week at GLOBE awaits with site tours, a networking forum as well as B2B meetings that have been arranged for Taiwanese companies to work with Canadian companies in the areas of alternative energy and clean tech. GLOBE will also showcase how Canadian technology reduces total energy consumption by 75% in their campus buildings.
TAITRA will also work with CTOT and the Green Trade Project Office (GTPO) in support of GTPO's topical discussion on GreenTech Exchange, where presentations will be made in the GLOBE Innovation Theater. Facilitated by CTOT, the GTPO Deputy CEO Dr. Wen will make her presentation to showcase the best practices in green solutions coming from Taiwan.
From the 2nd to the 4th of March, Taiwan will present its latest products in the Vancouver Convention Center – East Building. Taiwanese companies will display a vast range of products with great quality. Products to be showcased include theEco-Power Station (solar PV, fuel cell, energy management, energy storage, and green materials), LED lighting, solar home systems, power banks, foldable electric scooters (can be charged by a solar panel or from the grid), solar generator sets, solar-powered table lamps, Nustone (building materials, metallic materials, and other solid materials), scrap tire recycling systems, plastic & rubber micro-powder grinders, bottle recycling systems, leather recycling systems and many other high quality products.
It is worth mentioning that Eco-Power Station is a completely off-the-grid system that is self-powered by solar energy. The station has been designed by the Taiwan Green Trade Project Office (GTPO) in collaboration with 10 Taiwanese green technology producers and service providers. For starters, a compact chamber in the lithium-ion battery from TD HiTech enables the station to store energy for times when the demand exceeds the current energy production. With the help of Billion Electric’s smart-energy-management system, cloud monitoring technologies have been implemented to help ease administrators on the challenges of the central control of scattered equipment. In addition, while the renewable energy systems that power the station are reliable and continuously monitored, the station has also installed M-Field’s hydrogen fuel cell to provide reliable backup power, in case of blackouts. Other brands, like SunValue, GEAC, Nustone, Tropica, all together provide quality total solutions from Taiwan.
At the TAITRA service station, in addition to presenting brochures and various promotional materials that represent Taiwan’s key business sectors, TAITRA will also provide helpful tips on how to do business with Taiwan. We will facilitate visitors and buyers in product/supplier sourcing and introduce the available business and partnering opportunities. TAITRA warmly welcomes enterprises interested in Taiwanese products to visit the Taiwan Pavilion at the Vancouver Convention Center – East Building from March 2nd-4th.
