Representative Tu visits outstanding craft distillery in Co. Leitrim

His Excellency Representative Simon Tu travelled to Co. Leitrim in the Northwest of Ireland on 17th August 2016 to promote trade and business cooperation between Taiwan and Ireland, He paid a visit to The Shed Distillery in Drumshanbo where he was warmly received by distillery director Feargal McPartland.
Mr. McPartland introduced Representative Tu to the business and its background, explaining the distillation and brewing processes involved in manufacturing whiskey, gin and beer, and giving an overview of his plans for the future. He kindly invited his Taiwanese guests to sample some of his fine produce, including the distillery’s unique Gunpowder Gin, flavoured with special tea, which may have particular marketing potential. Representative Tu introduced his Leitrim hosts to Taiwan’s famous Kavalan whiskey and Kaoliang liquor and Taiwanese beer, also encouraging them to consider sourcing specialist machinery and equipment from Taiwanese suppliers.
