Taiwan and St. Kitts-Nevis leaders talk stronger relations

Basseterre, St. Kitts, 8th June, 2017 (MyVueNews.com) - The leaders of the Republic of China (Taiwan) and of St. Kitts and Nevis met for discussions on Thursday, 8th June, at the Presidential Office in Taipei.
Taiwan’s President Tsai Ing-wen and St. Kitts and Nevis’ Prime Minister Dr. Timothy Harris discussed several matters aimed at strengthening relations between the two countries.
The prime minister and his delegation are in Taiwan on the invitation of the Government of the Republic of China.
President Ing-wen affirmed that St. Kitts and Nevis is a significant ally of the Republic of China. The relation dates back to 1983 following the federation’s independence.
Taiwan’s president expressed appreciation for the unwavering support of the federation in Taiwan's interest in participating in international organizations.
While in Taiwan, the prime minister and his delegation visited several places historical, cultural and economic interests including the Maestro Wu Knife Factory, Kinmen Kaoliang Liquor Inc., Mashan Observation Station, Bi Shan Village, Sheng Zu Tourism Factory, Jin He Li Fabricate Steel Factory and Shishan (Mt. Lion) Howitzer Front.
All expenses for the prime minister and his delegation’s trip have been paid for by the Government of the Republic of China.
