CALL FOR ENTRIES: THE 21st DA DUN FINE ARTS EXHIBITION OF TAICHUNG CITY

The 21st Da Dun Fine Arts Exhibition of Taichung City will call for entries soon. Anyone interested in art creation is welcome to take part.

Calling for entries in April every year, the Da Dun Fine Arts Exhibition has always attracted a large number of art lovers at home and abroad to take part. The winner of "Da Dun Prize," the highest honor, will be rewarded NT$240,000 as prize money. It is a competition that art creators must take part. There are 11 entry categories including ink wash painting, calligraphy, seal engraving, glue color painting, oil painting, water color painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture, crafts and digital art. Entries for first review should be submitted between April 1 and 15, 2016. Everyone is welcome to take the challenge of Da Dun Prize.

Qualified Participants:
All domestic and foreign artists.
Participants can apply to multiple categories, but may only submit one item for each category. The organizer reserves the right to disqualify any applicant from participating in the Da Dun Fine Arts Exhibition for a three-year period if they are found copying, imitating or forging the works of other artists.
Submitted artworks must be original, individual creations completed. Artworks, as well as works from the same series of an artwork, that have received awards (excluding academic awards) or been short-listed at any other art exhibitions may not be submitted.
Categories and Regulations for Submitted Artworks:
11 entry categories include ink wash painting, calligraphy, seal engraving, glue color painting, oil painting(including graphic mixed media), watercolor painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture(including three-dimensional mixed media), crafts and digital art.
Entries for first review: Please send in by registered mail your application form, 8 x 10 inch photos, other relevant documents to the Cultural Affairs Bureau of Taichung City Government (Floor 8, Huizhong Building, No. 99, Sec. 3, Taiwan Boulevard, Xitun Dist., Taichung City 40701, Taiwan / Visual Arts Division, Cultural Affairs Bureau, Taichung City Government) between April 1 and April 15, 2016. Please mark on your envelope “For○○category of the 21st Da Dun Fine Arts Exhibition of Taichung City."
Award Presentation Ceremony will be held at the Zhongshan Hall, Cultural Affairs Bureau, Taichung City Government on the afternoon of November 12, 2016(Saturday).
Exhibition of winning artworks will be held at the Taichung City Dadun Cultural Center between November 12 and November 30, 2016
