Representative Wu attends ribbon-cutting ceremony in Sigulda

Representative Wu, Rong-chuan of Taipei Mission in the Republic of Latvia attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony to inaugurate the opening of the environmental aesthetics classroom in the Abelite kindergarten, jointly with Mayor of Sigulda Ugis Mitrevics, during his visit to the city of Sigulda on March 8th, 2017.
The environmental aesthetics classroom is designed by Latvian artist Diana Timofejeva, who was awarded in the “Minox 2012 International Invention Exhibition”, and characterized with a “warm sand box”, entirely made of natural materials for toddlers. After scrupulous reviewing the proposal brought by the Abelite Kindergarten, a subsidiary to the Sigulda City Government, the Mission decided to join other contributors to materialize the project so as to upgrade teaching level in the Kindergarten.
Representative Wu expressed his greetings of international women’s day to those female teachers attended the ceremony and promised to promote more academic exchanges between Latvia and Taiwan.
