Composed of 14 principals, teachers, and students, the delegation of the Society of Taiwan Eco-Schools, led by Chairman of the Board Mr. Lin, Yung Cheng, visited the Babite Secondary School at suburb Riga earlier this month for emulation and exchanges and gained fruitful results.
Miss Ilze Rozenberga, Director of the Babite Secondary School, together with teachers and students, received the Taiwan Delegation with warmth and hospitality. She sketched the picture of Latvian eco-shool education and elaborated results of the first Latvian Eco-schools Winter Forum held in December, 2016. Chairman Lin continued to explained aims of his society includes studying eco-school teaching theories, integrating resources of eco-school, and promoting global environmental education. Babite students also briefed the Delegation with on-going eco-education projects in the school, such as energy saving and carbon dioxides reduction, healthy life, and sustainable food.
Representative R. C. Wu of the Taipei Mission in the Republic of Latvia accompanied the Delegation for the visit and pledged to facilitate cooperative projects, forged by the two sides in the future.
