A trade delegation organized by the Chinese International Economic Cooperation Association (CIECA) of Taiwan visited Estonia at the end of September to explore trade opportunities for its members. Aside from convening the 5th Taiwan-Estonia Business Conference jointly with the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Delegation also visited several Estonian companies in the field of information technology to discuss feasible exchanges and cooperation.
Led by Mr. Chi-Yuan Chin, Honorary Chairman of the New Taipei City Computer Association, the delegation is composed of a dozen leading IT companies from Taiwan, such as “High Performance Information Co, Ltd”, “Glory Technology”, “Tatung Company” and “E-FORMULA”, etc.. Several presentations were conducted by members of the two associations to identify and illustrate mutually beneficial items on IT industry between Taiwan and Estonia, which earned positive response and approval from the participants.
The CIECA Delegation also received a briefing on Estonian e-Residency program from Enterprise Estonia and visited Ulemiste Science Park and the prestigious cyber security company of Guradtime and others. All the delegation members agreed that Estonia is extremely well-developed on IT software, making it the ideal country for mutually complimentary cooperation with Taiwan.
