Deadline for “2016 Taiwan Fellowship” sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of China (Taiwan) has been extended from 15th July 2016 to 31st July 2016.
Experts and scholars from Malaysian government, think tanks/research institutes or universities are encouraged to apply for this fellowship to conduct their researches in Taiwan’s universities, colleges or research institutes between 1st January and 31st December 2017.
The research theme related to the fields of social sciences and humanities with a topic related to Taiwan, cross-strait relations, mainland China, the Asia Pacific and Sinology is recommended. Now the fellowship is also open to scholars in the areas of industrial development, market and investment, economics and commerce as well as international cooperation in education.
The duration of the fellowship is from three months to one year up to his/her research proposal in Taiwan. The fellowship package covers a monthly stipend from NTD 50,000 or NTD 60,000 (approximately RM 6,300 or RM 7,500)and a round-trip air ticket between the recipient’s country of residence and Taiwan.
The applicant is requested to complete the online application on Taiwan Fellowship website (http://taiwanfellowship.ncl.edu.tw) and send his/her copy of the application form with related documents by post to the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Malaysia (2016 Taiwan Fellowship: Level 7, Menara Yayasan Tun Razak 200, Jalan Bukit Bintang, 55100 Kuala Lumpur)for preliminary evaluation after the completion of online registration.
