Introducing Taiwanese contemporary art to the public in Malaysia using works by VT members as the main focus, through exhibition and seminar talks, with expectations for further collaborations with the local art spaces in the future.
Under comparison to Malaysia, the development of contemporary art in Taiwan is relatively more active and mature, however Malaysia is in a better position in terms of internationalization conditions. In terms of exchange and alliance, it is hoped to provide a better visibility of Taiwanese contemporary art in Malaysia where economy has enjoyed sustained growth, to achieve a more advantageous position in the developing contemporary art scene of Malaysia.
Included in this exhibition project are three talks, the first one takes place in Malaysian Institute of Art, where curator of the exhibition Sean C.S. Hu together with participating artist Su Hui-Yu and Isa Ho shared with the students on the topic of “Development in local and international art” and “Balance of business and creativity”.
