Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in New Zealand will host a workshop, Leverage Taiwan—Enable Business Opportunities, at 1200-1430 on Thursday 7th July at Ballroom, Stamford Plaza Hotel Auckland. The discussion of this workshop will focus on two areas, food processing and tourism industries, that are considered with great potential for cooperation between New Zealand and Taiwan.
Mr Tony Nowell will be the moderator of this event and he will also elaborate on the opportunities for collaboration in the food processing industry between New Zealand and Taiwan. Dr Bill Wang, CEO of Taipei Medical Tourism Association, will present on the significance of Taiwan’s medical services. Mr Aaron Tregaskis, Investment Director of NZ Venture Investment Fund, will brief the audience on the New Zealand-Taiwan Co-Fund Mechanism that could facilitate financial needs for the collaborative projects.
Opportunities for trade between New Zealand and Taiwan have never been better, thanks to our high-quality economic cooperation agreement “ANZTEC” (Agreement between New Zealand and the Separate Customs Territory of Taiwan, Penghu, Kinmen and Matsu on Economic Cooperation). The agreement liberalizes, and facilitates, trade in goods, services and investment between the two markets, delivering preferential tariff access to give exporters a key competitive advantage.
The event will be attended by New Zealand businesses and members of the Taiwanese Business Association of New Zealand and the Taiwanese Business Association of Australia, offering the opportunity to network and build partnerships to do business between New Zealand and Taiwan. It is FREE to attend this event but RSVP is required as seats are limited. Please click on the following link for your registration.
