First held in 1978, the WCIT has become the premier international IT forum.
Bringing together over 2,500 visionaries, captains of industry, government leaders and academics from more than 80 countries, it is an event of unparalleled scope and scale. Discussion topics range from emerging markets and technologies to legal and policy issues, user perspectives, new business opportunities and developing political and economic trends.
Over the years, speakers and delegates to the WCIT have included Al Gore, Mikhail Gorbachov, Margaret Thatcher, Michel Dell, Larry Ellison, Bill Clinton, Don Tapscott, Bill Gates, Steve Balmer, John Chambers, Nicholas Negroponte, Vinton G. Cerf, and Colin Powell, among many others.
The theme for this year’s Congress is “Digital Age”, including its foundation, innovation and realization. Discussion will be focused on the technologies of Internet of Things (IoT) and their application for realization of a smart city and to further advance electronic business.
This is a great opportunity to hear from champions in IT industries on their visions of business model and lifestyle in the future. This 3-day Congress is an ideal platform to meet potential collaboration partners through its conferences and events.
Incentives are available for New Zealand IT leaders who wish to participate in this Congress. Please contact James Yang at jamesyang@taipei.org.nz or call 04- 473 6474 #723. Please visit the following website for detailed information on WCIT2017.
