“An Amazing Short Break in Taiwan” Contest Sponsored by TECO
To encourage more Filipinos to discover the beauty of Taiwan, the closest neighbor of the Philippine in the north, and to promote cultural and mutual understanding between Taiwan and the Philippines, Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in the Philippines is currently launching “An Amazing Short Break in Taiwan” Contest based on the submission of relevant short essay with the supportive photo(s) and video(s) of wonderful Taiwan scenery or historical and cultural heritages.
The Filipino nationals are all welcome to join the said contest. The title is “An Amazing Short Break in Taiwan”. Eligible participants are required to submit a short essay within 500 words to freely describe why Taiwan is an ideal and safest place for the Philippine people, in particular their whole family to getaway to Taiwan and have a short break there. All aspects of any subject, including scenery, history, food, shopping, hi-tech, cheap air fares, short distance (1 hour and 45 minutes), leisure farm(s), medical services, culture, lifestyle, Taiwan-Philippine interactions, sharing commonalities and values, folk arts, movies and education are welcome.
In addition, one photo that relates to the beauty of Taiwan and one video no more than 2 minutes describing your essay, photo(s), and what impresses or amazes you most in Taiwan are also required.
The prizes for the winners include: for two (2) First Prize winners, each winner will receive 1 economy round-trip air-ticket between Manila and Taiwan plus 3 days accommodation in Taipei; for two (2) Second Prize winners, each winner will receive Taiwan Asus Zen Phone 3 (worth over Php.10, 000); for Third Prize winner, Fourth Prize winner and Fifth Prize winner, they will receive gift certificates ranging from 6, 000 to 4, 000 pesos.
Contestants must submit their entries including the essay, photo(s), and video together with their full name, contact number(s), and scanned valid Philippine I.D verifying the Filipino nationality, to TECO no later than 17:00 September 26, 2016, to the following email: amazingtaiwan2016@gmail.com.
The prize winners will be awarded with their prizes during the ROC (Taiwan)’s National Day Celebration on October 10, 2016 between 7:30 p.m to 8:30 p.m at the Sofitel Plaza.
All entries submitted must be the original. Contestants need to abide by all copy rights regulations and be solely responsible for any copyright violations required by law. Entries submitted will become TECO’s property that has the right to execute any forms of distribution and publicity.
