Taiwan Fellowship is awarded to foreign affairs experts and scholars interested in conducting research at Taiwanese academic institutions in areas related to the Republic of China (Taiwan), cross-strait relations, mainland China, the Asia Pacific, or other Aspects of Sinology. Recipients will be granted a direct round-trip ticket subsidy to Taiwan and a monthly stipend for a term of 3 to 12 months.
Individuals with studies focused on Taiwan’s participation in regional economic cooperation, strengthening global and regional connections, Taiwan’s “New South Bound Policy”, regional security in the Asia-Pacific region, disinformation campaign or gender studies are particularly encouraged to apply for the said Fellowship. The application process will commence from May 1 to July 8, 2023, and recipients are supposed to conduct advanced research in Taiwan in 2024.
Eligible applicants from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and other countries of this Office’s consular service are welcome to submit their applications online and mail a copy of application documents to this Office (P.O. Box 94393, Diplomatic Quarter, Riyadh 11693, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) by July 8 (Saturday). Interviews with applicant in person may be required during the selection process.
