Representative Francis Kuo-Hsin Liang Attends United Chinese Library’s Chinese New Year Gathering

Representative Francis Kuo-Hsin Liang attended the United Chinese Library’s Chinese New Year gathering held on 10 February 2017 at the invitation of the center’s President, Mr. Cham Seng Yin. Other invited guests at the gathering included the commissioner from the Overseas Community Affairs Council, office bearers of the Taipei Business Association and the Alumni of Taiwan Universities and Colleges, and officials from the Taipei Representative Office in Singapore.
In his address, Representative Liang said that the United Chinese Library, which was inaugurated by Dr. Sun Yat Sen 107 years ago, is an important Chinese cultural center. He expressed his admiration for the center, which through the years has kept up with time, and is continuing its mission of promoting the values of democracy and freedom while disseminating Chinese culture.
