An 80 plus strong delegation from the Kinmen County Youth Orchestra presented an orchestral rendition of “The Legend of Wind Lion God” to a full house audience at the Victoria Concert Hall on 18 July 2017. Deputy Representative and Mrs. Steven Tai attended the performance on behalf of Representative Francis Kuo-Hsin Liang. Over 650 persons, including Mr. Tsung Yeh, music director of the Singapore Chinese Orchestra, office bearers of the Singapore Gnoh Kung Association and the Singapore Oh Hong Sia Association, members of the Kinmen community in Singapore as well as officials from the Taipei Representative Office in Singapore attended the performance.
Representative Francis Kuo-Hsin Liang, who was unable to attend the evening performance due to other official engagements, specially made time to extend his moral support by calling on the performers during their rehearsal earlier in the day. Besides their performance at the Victoria Concert Hall, the Kinmen Youth Orchestra is also scheduled to have an orchestral exchange with the Nanyang Technological University Chinese Orchestra and will also be calling on the Kim Mui Hoey Kuan in Singapore during their trip.
