Taiwan and Thailand share a dynamic and growing trade and investment relationship. In 2013, bilateral trade was valued at around 11 billion USD. For Thailand, Taiwan ranks 12th as trade partner and Thailand ranked 14th as trade partner for Taiwan. According to BOI, up to June 2014, Taiwanese businesses have a total investment of more than $13.5 billion in Thailand. There are more than 3,000 Taiwanese companies operating in Thailand with major investment projects in electric and electronic products, metal products and machinery, and chemicals and paper.
Taiwan is pleased to participate in the T.I.D.E.2014 organized by DITP, Ministry of Commerce and brings together products from six companies to demonstrate their creativity, innovation, technology and design power. These selected products are from Mooz Fashion (functional clothes), Jumpway (LED lighting and natural herbal tea), Thaieasy 2005 (Electronic Toilet Seat), Acer (Notebook), Delta Green Industrial (UPS products) and One Fine Day (folding bicycle).
As close partners in regional and global manufacturing supply chain, Taiwan and Thailand share a common interest. Both of us put innovation as the heart of economic development in the future. This has led to ongoing bilateral engagement in the area of R&D, technical cooperation and capacity building as we have shared mutual experiences and common goals.
