The Center for Chinese Studies (CCS) in Taipei is accepting applications for its Research Grant programme. The annual recurring deadline for submitting applications for a grant to be used in the following year is the 31st May.
This grant is designed for foreign professors, associate professors, assistant professors and doctoral candidates in departments related to Chinese studies at universities around the world, as well as researchers at related foreign academic institutes. The content of the research, to be undertaken in Taiwan, should focus primarily upon Taiwan or Chinese studies.
Travel subsidies in the form of a round-trip economy class flight are included in the grant, along with a monthly stipend to cover research expenses. Assistance in liaising with institutions and use of facilities will also be provided to recipients.
Grants of between three months and one year in duration will be awarded to successful applicants, with a research paper to be submitted to the CCS upon completion of the research period.
