To showcase Taiwan’s long-term contributions to international health, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Welfare, has launched a digital photography exhibition titled ‘Leave No One Behind: World Health Security Needs Taiwan, Taiwan Needs the WHO.’ The exhibition is hosted at http://leavenoonebehind.com.tw.
The exhibition features a selection of films and more than one hundred photographs that portray Taiwan’s contribution to medicine and public health around the world, as well as the achievements of Taiwan’s domestic healthcare institutions, NGOs, and civil organisations in international health and humanitarian aid. The exhibition also demonstrates Taiwan is willing to work with other countries to leave no one behind, as envisioned in the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
Since 1996 Taiwan has invested over US$6 billion in international medical and humanitarian aid efforts, which have benefitted millions in more than 80 countries worldwide. The government of Taiwan hopes that the exhibition will generate greater awareness of the long-term efforts made by Taiwan in global health.
