Taiwan sends condolences following Barcelona terror attack

Taiwan’s Office of the President has sent its condolences to the victims and families affected by the Barcelona terror attack on 17 August.
Following the attack, President Tsai Ing-wen expressed her deepest sympathies to the victims and their families, and wished the injured a speedy recovery. ‘I am saddened to hear of the terror attack in Barcelona. Taiwan stands together with Spain in this difficult time,’ the president wrote in a Twitter message.
Secretary-General to the President Joseph Wu promptly relayed President’s Tsai’s sympathy and concern to the Spanish people in a call made to Representative Jose Luis Echaniz Corbas of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Taipei on the day of the incident.
