Ministry of Justice delegations attend ‘Thirty-fifth International Symposium on Economic Crime’

On 4 September, Taiwan’s Minister of Justice, Dr Chiu Tai-San and Deputy Director General of the Investigation Bureau, Ministry of Justice, Ms Lin Ling-lan led separate delegations to the ‘Thirty-Fifth International Symposium on Economic Crime’ held at Jesus College, Cambridge.
The event, which serves as a platform for exchanges and cooperation in law enforcement, featured a welcome reception for the Taiwanese delegations hosted by Professor Barry Rider. Representative Lin accompanied the delegations to the event and thanked Professor Rider for his friendship with Taiwan, affirming that the Taiwan government will continue supporting the Symposium. Professor Rider also delivered remarks, calling Taiwan an important partner of the Symposium and noting that its government officials have consecutively participated in the event for 34 years.
The cocktail reception was followed by a general reception, as well as a conference dinner funded by The Ministry of Justice Taiwan, The Ministry of Justice Investigation Bureau of Taiwan and The Legal Education Foundation Taiwan as well as Taiwanese private enterprise. Both functions were attended by around four-hundred people including experts and practitioners of law enforcement.
