The Press Division explains the policies of the government of the ROC(Taiwan), provides general information about the ROC(Taiwan), and promotes cooperation and exchange between the media of the ROC(Taiwan) and the United States. This division also works with many media to help the U.S. public and policymakers better understand the ROC(Taiwan).
In addition, the Press Division maintains collections of audio/visual materials about the ROC(Taiwan) for dissemination and circulation. The director of the Press Division also serves as the spokesperson for TECRO.
