2017 Taiwan Fellowship
Application period from May 1 to June 30, 2016
The Taiwan Fellowship is established by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) of the Republic of China (Taiwan) to support foreign experts and scholars interested in research related to Taiwan, cross-strait relations, mainland China, the Asia-Pacific region, and Chinese studies for advanced research at universities or academic institutions in Taiwan. The application process will begin on May 1, 2016, and recipients may start their research in Taiwan in January 2017.
Eligibility:
Recipients shall be foreign professors, associate professors, assistant professors, post-doctoral researchers, doctoral candidates, or doctoral program students at related departments of overseas universities, or are research fellows at an equivalent level in academic institutions abroad.
Awards:
- Round trip air ticket
- Monthly stipends: NT$50,000 – 60,000 (US$1,550 – 1,818) for the duration of research, from 3 months up to 1 year.
- Accident insurance

Applicants should first submit an online application form, and then provide the following information to the Education Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in Washington, DC:
