Director-General Anne Hung Invited to Deliver Speech at Wellesley College
Director-General Anne Hung delivered a speech titled “U.S.-Taiwan Relations in America’s Pacific Century” at Wellesley College on April 18, 2012. The talk, held in Pendleton Hall, was followed by a lively Q & A and discussion session.
President Debbie Tien of the Taiwanese Cultural Organization at Wellesley moderated the talk. Director-General Hung emphasized that U.S.-Taiwan bilateral relations is based on the solid foundation of our longstanding friendship, shared values, economic and security interests, and mutual trust between Taiwan and the U.S. She also pointed out that the Republic of China is a regional peace builder and continued U.S. support is key to this endeavor.
