The 2017 Taiwan Scholarship Alumni Reunion & Student Pre-Departure Meeting was held on July 28, 2017 at TECO in Chicago. Taiwan Scholarship recipients, both those who are visiting Taiwan and who have already visited, gathered to share and exchange their experiences.
Director-General Ho of TECO in Chicago gave remarks and encouraged Taiwan Scholarship recipients to take this opportunity and enjoy life in Taiwan. Director-General Ho also awarded recognition certificates of long-time promotion of bilateral educational and cultural exchange to Professor Joseph Allen from the University of Minnesota and to Professor Theodore Foss from the University of Chicago for their outstanding contributions.
Presentations on Taiwan economic update and life in Taiwan were also made. Attendees all found this meeting very informative.
