Taiwanese students attend world’s largest robotics competition final

Five student teams from Taiwan advanced from local competitions to attend the annual FIRST robotics championship final held in St. Louis, Missouri from April 26-29. The Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in Denver visited the students in the city and wished them good luck.
The FIRST Championship include First LEGO League(FLL), First Tech Challenge(FTC), First Robotics Competition(FRC) and First LEGO League, Jr. Around 15,000 students from 33 countries around the world gathered together in St. Louis to compete for the final awards. Five teams from Taiwan attended the robotics competition to show their innovation skills, including Taiwan Party Animal, Happy Go, Screw It A, I Love White Cat, and Taipei American School. Team “Happy Go” had the best score among the Taiwan teams, ranking number 8 in the robot game teams at the FLL.
TECO in Denver expressed its encouragement and support to each team. The leader of the Taiwan teams, Chi-Yuen Lee, said the students have done their best and they will keep working hard to prepare for next year’s competition.
