Director General Vincent Yao accompanied the Trade Mission led by Deputy Director General Cheng-Wei Yu, Industrial Development Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs to visit Washington and Idaho from August 28 to 31,2017. During the visits three M.O.U. were signed by the Taiwan-USA Industrial Cooperation Promotion Office(T.U.S.A.),NEXCOM International Co.,Gotech Energy Co.,SINBON Electronics Co. and Providence University respectively with their counterparts on the U.S. side: Trade Development Alliance of Greater Seattle, CleanTech Alliance and Boise State University(BSU).
They also called at such important companies as Boeing, Microsoft and Micron. The Trade Mission is composed of government officials, academic, research and industrial leaders. They also visited Ohio State for the purpose of seeking foreign investments and establishing cooperation with the said Companies and University.
