The Taiwan Fellowship was established in 2010 by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of China (Taiwan) to encourage and promote international partnerships. The 2017 Fellowship accepts application from May 1 to June 30, 2016.
The Taiwan Fellowship is awarded to experts and scholars interested in conducting research at Taiwanese academic institutions in areas related to Taiwan studies, Cross-Strait relations studies, Chinese studies, or Asia-Pacific studies. The minimum duration of a fellowship is 3 months, and the maximum is 12 months.
Scholars with focused studies on the East and South China Sea, Taiwan's prospective membership in the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) or the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) are encouraged to apply for the Fellowship.
Applicants who reside in Northern California, Nevada and Utah may submit their applications online at http://taiwanfellowship.ncl.edu.tw and mail their application materials to the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in San Francisco (555 Montgomery St. Suite 501, San Francisco, CA 94111).
