Deputy Representative Shih calls on Archbishop Tutu

Deputy Representative Shih Cheng-maw and Director Hsu Yung-yi met with Archbishop Desmond Mpilo Tutu on the 12th of April. The meeting was held at the offices of The Desmond and Leah Tutu Legacy Foundation in Cape Town.
Mr. Shih briefed Archbishop Tutu about Taiwan’s current situation and the Archbishop told Mr. Shih that his last trip to Taiwan had left a long-lasting impression on him. He said the vibrancy, law-abiding attitude and the orderliness of the country were still vivid in his mind. Archbishop Tutu also gave his blessing to President-elect, Dr. Tsai Ing-wen and her new government.
Mr. Shih told Archbishop Tutu he was pleased to renew the good relationship established many years back between the Anglican Church and Taiwan. Mr. Shih also welcomed Archbishop Tutu to visit Taiwan again.
