Minister of Foreign Affairs Joseph Wu (吳釗燮) lead a Taiwanese delegation on a two day visit to Belize from July 16th to 17th.
On behalf of President Tsai Ing-wen, Minister Wu reiterated to the Belizean high-level government officials the importance that Taiwan attaches to the bilateral relations as well as the cooperative programs.
During his visit Minister Wu met with Prime Minister Dean Barrow, Senate President Lee Mark Chang (鄭經緯), House of Representatives Deputy Speaker Omar Figueroa, Foreign Minister Wilfred Elrington and other officials.
Minister Elrington also conferred the Order of Distinction on Minister Wu for his dedication to promoting public and private-sector exchanges between the two nations.
