The 2018 Holiday World Show Dublin held at the RDS International Exhibition Centre from Friday 26th to Sunday 28th of January. The Taipei Representative Office, in association with the Tourism Bureau hosted fantastic Taiwanese culture -themed stand, to promote tourism, culture, dance and national image.
The stand was officially opened by Representative Simon S.K. Tu, and a cultural performance by the famous Electric-Techno Neon God and ‘Miss Taiwan” to mark the special occasion. The ceremony was also attended by many VIPs, Ambassadors and Taiwanese leaders.
The Taiwan Stand itself was specifically designed to reflect the traditional architectural beauty commonly found throughout Taiwan, in addition to being predominantly colour typically associated with good luck, celebration and happiness in Taiwan. The stand provided visitors with a variety of tourist handbooks, maps, gift bags, travel itineraries and other promotional materials alongside various souvenirs. The Taiwanese Community also dressed in bright traditional and aboriginal clothing to celebrate together.
The 2018 Holiday World Show has been held annually for the past twenty-nine years and is a major international tourism event in Ireland being highly regarded by Government, Embassies and Industry. The 2018 show featured over 400 pavilions and more than 2,000 tour operators, airlines, banks and embassies. Exhibitors from fifty countries and regions from across Europe, America, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. The event proved to be most successful and attracts over 50,000 visitors from local and international every year.
