Prof. Yuan-huei Chang and Dr. T. Fang of S&T Division paid a visit to the National Centre for Antarctic & Ocean Research (NCAOR), India, on October 29. Mr. Rasik Ravindra, Director of the NCAOR, briefed the delegation about the Centre’s Antarctic mission and ocean research. Both sides are willing to increase exchanges and interactions. Prof. Chang and Dr. Fang also toured the low-temperature and ice-core studies labs of the Centre. The NCARO just launched a South Pole Expedition to mark international celebration of centenary of man’s reaching South Pole in 1911.
