On Wednesday, 20 February 2019, Ms. Nancy J. Anabel, Country Director, and Dr. M. Bhuvaneswari, Sponsorship and Partnership Development Manager, from Christian Children’s Fund of Canada (CCFC) called on Director-General of TECC in Chennai, Mr. Charles Li, to discuss the possible collaboration between CCFC and Taiwan AID, and to seek resource support and financial funds from them to uphold more projects.
They elucidated about their main functions and projects under taken to support the deprived children dwelling in the most under-developed and under-privileged remote rural areas. It takes joint efforts to facilitate for better quality of education, address the malnutrition problem and prevention of child marriage issues. In the course of their endeavor to empower women in those areas, it is essential to support and encourage them to become economically independent which indeed helps the development of their family and community. They are also working on the children welfare projects with UNICEF.
They committed to create a future of confidence for children, families, and communities, by facilitating them develop the skills and resources to overcome poverty and transform their lives. They believe in the magnificence of uniting people with diverse beliefs and cultural backgrounds who are ardent about working collaboratively, in an environment of trust, equity and integrity, for the protection and empowerment of children.
