My Life in TaiwanI would like to take this opportunity to register my hearty thanks to Director General Charles Li, Taipei Economic and Culture Center in Chennai. I also admire him for his constant efforts to bring in different opportunities for Indian Students.
Studying abroad is like a dream true to students like me. The Ministry of Education Scholarship, Taiwan made my dream come true. I am grateful to have had an opportunity to pursue my higher studies in Taiwan. I currently doing my doctoral program at National Chengchi University. It is one of the best political university in Taiwan with qualified Professors and students from around the world. The experience is really a multi-cultural and provides a good platform for learning.
Adapting to student life in Taiwan is very easy. The people in Taiwanese society are friendly. From day one I felt safe and very comfortable. The transport system in Taiwan is beyond perfection. The Public transport system has and instructions in both English and Chinese which is very much helpful. Getting around Taipei become second nature to me.
I rented a place outside the university to have a much better understanding of the Taiwanese society. My landlord informed me that since I am also a resident of the locality now so, I also have free access to the public gym and swimming pool. I especially appreciate the cleanliness of the public place and admire the moral responsibilities of Taiwanese people. I am looking forward to my new experience in Taiwan.
