The 2018 Taiwan Trade Mission of Green and Sustainable City and Circular Economy to Poland, Estonia and Bulgaria, organized by Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) visited Estonia from May 24th to 26th to explore trade and investment opportunities with Estonian counterparts. The Delegation visited several high-tech companies such as Eliko and public institutes Muuga Port and Tallinn City Government and conducted fruitful discussions.
Composed of several leading companies in the field of Green and Sustainable city such as FSP Technologh Inc., Lite-on Technology Corporation, Nexcom International Co., LTD., Oma Lighting Co., LTD., and Vivotek Inc., the Delegation introduced various products on power supply, IP camera, communication module, Internet of things (IoT), IoT automation solutions (IAS), intelligent digital security (IDS), and others. Two-way briefings and discussions on ways and means of cooperation and exchanges by delegation representatives and Estonian companies bore fruitful results for both guests and hosts.
The Delegation visited Muuga Port, the biggest freight port in Estonia and was impressed by its advanced management and facilities. During the discussions, Ms. Hele-Mai Metsal, Head of Infrastructure Development Department of the Port led a team and studied with delegation representatives on various issues, such as 3D people counting camera. Ms. Jasmine Teng, Director of Taiwan Trade Center in Warsaw, Poland, seized the opportunities to introduce and encourage Estonian partners to participate in international exhibitions organized by TAITRA on smart city, computers and others.
