After its goodwill visit to the Republic of the Marshall Islands in March, the 2018 Midshipmen and Cruising Training Squadron of the Navy of the Republic of China is visiting the Marshall Islands again between May 31 and June 2, 2018, on its return journey back to Taiwan from the Central America.
The Marshall Islands is the Squadron’s first and the last stop-over destination of its 3 months cruising training in the Pacific and to the Central America and back. During the visit in March, Squadron Commander, Rear Admiral Kao, Chia-Bin, together with 776 Navy officers, midshipmen and sailors received cordial greetings and warm welcome from the people and government of the RMI.
The ROC Naval Goodwill Squadron will once again arrive at Delap Dock at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 31. While in Majuro, the Squadron’s Flag Ship Pan-Shi will again be opened to the RMI general public from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Friday, June 1. On the other hand, The ROC Naval Goodwill Squadron will help Ajeltake Elementary School renew its paint on the front of its classrooms as a symbol of goodwill and friendship on Friday, June 1. The same day at 2:30 p.m., the Squadron’s drum and bugle marching band will be marching from Laura Farm (the Taiwan Technical Mission) to Laura Ball Field, where the marching band, the honorary guards and Marine Corps Chikwondo will present outstanding performances at 3 p.m.
There will be a ROC (Taiwan) and RMI flag hoisting ceremony at Delap Dock at 8 a.m., Saturday, June 2, before the ROC (Taiwan) Naval Goodwill Squadron departs for Taiwan.
