The 2019 Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) FAIR will be launched at Putra World Trade Center from 6th to 8th of September 2019. The organizers of MATTA Travel Fair have designated Taiwan as “Asia's Favorite Destination Partner.” This year, there will be an in-depth introduction of Taiwan through the distinctive theme areas, including the promotion of the Salam Taiwan theme areas for Muslim friends, the experience of DIY activities for guests in the cooking area of leisurely farm house kitchen, and areas of selected small town ramble, as well as Taiwanese specialties such as hospitality homestay, Alishan National Scenic Area, and tourists’ favorite mango shaved ice, etc., to promote the diversified tourism information of Taiwan and to cooperate with travel agencies of Malaysia for the launching of quality and discounted tourist goods. Taiwan has beautiful scenery, delicious food and warm and friendly people. It is also known for its diverse cultural history, and many must-go attractions from the city to the suburbs. Therefore, Lonely Planet, New York Times, CNN and other internationally renowned media have selected Taiwan as a recommended tourist destination for many years. In 2018, more than 520,000 Malaysian tourists visited Taiwan, and the number increased by 4.13% in the first half of this year, as compared to the same period of last year. Obviously, Taiwan’s rich tourism resources and charm are very popular among Malaysian travelers!
