Role: The Taipei Representative Office in the UK is seeking an Art and Digital Communications Assistant to assist its Cultural Division in implementing and supporting cultural events and arts programmes in London and the rest of the U.K.
The role involves assisting in event planning and organization, including liaising with artists, curators and venues; researching Taiwanese and British culture affairs; writing news releases; composing and proofreading correspondence; drafting speeches; researching and answering information requests and managing and developing the department’s social media accounts, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Salary: From£19,428 (per annum)
Location: Victoria, London
Requirements: Candidates must carry valid visa and work permit of the UK. The successful candidate will have a relevant degree background, e.g. Art History, Arts Management, Digital Communications, Taiwan/ Chinese Studies etc. He or she will also possess excellent writing and interpersonal skills; a keen interest in art, culture and international relations, especially relating to Taiwan; experience in producing digital publications and proficiency in MS Office applications as well as social media management. Knowledge of Mandarin Chinese and previous professional experience in digital communications would be distinct advantages.
