From July 14 to October 28, Taiwanese artist Chou Yu-cheng’s exhibition will feature in the world-renowned Liverpool Biennial. Chou Yu-cheng received a Master’s degree from the prestigious École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris in 2007. In 2011 and 2012, he received the Taishin Annual Visual Art Award and the Taipei Art Award. Chou has since exhibited at a range of fine art venues around the globe, from the Edouard Malingue Gallery in Hong Kong to the Centre for Chinese Contemporary Art in Manchester.
The UK biennial showcases the works of over 40 artists from 22 countries around the world. This year’s theme draws inspiration from one of German poet Friedrich Schiller’s lines, ‘Beautiful World, Where are you?’ and invites both artists and audiences to reflect on the social, political and economic turmoil of the world today.
