A selection of Taiwanese films has been chosen to feature in the fourth annual London East Asia Film Festival (LEAFF) from 24 October to 3 November. Held at a number of prestigious venues across London, LEAFF is the capital’s most celebrated champion of East Asian cinema and culture, showcasing the best films from Taiwan alongside ten other countries including South Korea, Malaysia and Japan.
Building on the success of last year’s ‘Cinematic Journey through Taiwan’, a number of the festival’s specially curated strands will screen six Taiwanese films, including the Toronto International Film Festival Platform Prize award-winning ’Cities of Last Things’ by Ho Wi-ding, and ‘Nina Wu’ by Golden Horse Award-nominated Midi-Z in LEAFF’s Official Selection.
