The Taiwan Fellowship has been established by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs(MOFA) of the Republic of China(Taiwan) to support foreign experts and scholars interested in advanced research at universities or academic institutions in Taiwan in the fields of Taiwan, cross-strait relations, mainland China, the Asia-Pacific region and sinology. The due date of the application for the 2018 Taiwan Fellowship is extended to July 15, 2017 and recipients would start their research in Taiwan in January 2018.
Eligibility:
Recipients shall be foreign nationals who are professors, associate professors, assistant professors, post-doctoral researchers, doctoral candidates, or doctoral program students at related departments of overseas universities, or are research fellows at an equivalent level in academic institutions abroad.
Awards:
1.One direct round trip economy class air ticket.
2. Monthly stipends: NT$50,000 – 60,000 (approximately US$1,640 – 1,970) for the duration of research, from three months up to one year.
3. Accident insurance.
