Washington Performing Arts Presents Violinist Paul Huang at the Kennedy Center on Friday, April 27, 7:30 pm
Avery Fisher Career Grantees Paul Huang and Orion Weiss
focus their shared crystal-clean techniques and virtuosity on an exploration of the lyrical poetry of the violin sonata by Dvorak Sonatina in G major, Op. 100, Prokofiev Sonata No. 1 in F minor, Op. 80, Brahms Sonata No. 3 in D minor, Op. 108 and a new work commissioned by Washington Performing Arts and composed by fellow grantee Conrad Tao.
With “a sparkling clean, airy tone, and pinpoint intonation, Huang is definitely an artist with the goods for a significant career.” – The Washington Post
