The Opera Puccini:Turandot by the National Center for the Arts (Weiwuying), has become the world’s largest public performance in theaters since the outbreak of the pandemic. Its first performance tonight (8/28) has sold out and the minister of Ministry of Culture, LEE Yung-te, has also attended the event.
Weiwuying’s official YouTube channel is also broadcasting the show this time. The live broadcast tonight has allowed 50,000 people across the world to enjoy the experience simultaneously across borders. The audience includes people from Sweden, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan and other countries, all experiencing this classic opera together on the screen.
