The 36th Annual Atlanta Veterans Day Parade, organized by the Georgia Veterans Day Association, Inc., was held on November 11. The theme for the 2017 Georgia Veterans Day Association event was: “WWI Centennial.” Thousands of people participated in the parade, including Georgia veterans, local colleges, major businesses, and local organizations. The ROC Veterans Association in Atlanta was invited to participate in the parade.
Director General Vincent Liu of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Atlanta and TECO Deputy Director Jerry Chang joined US retired military generals, City of Atlanta officers, Georgia legislators, and members of the Georgia Consular Corp at the main platform to greet the parade teams.
Led by Lion Dancers, there were more than 40 members in the ROC Veterans Association in Atlanta parade team. TECO Deputy Director Mike Liu and Mrs. Jean Liu were among the group. The team was led by ROC Veterans Association President Tod Yu. AJC introduced the team by displaying photo of Lion Dancer and Veterans of the Association attended the US Veterans Day Parade.
