The Press Division sponsors activities—such as film festivals, theatrical performances, cultural festivals, and photographic exhibitions—to acquaint people in the southeast with the history, arts, and culture of Taiwan.
The Press Division functions as a liaison with journalists and scholars writing stories about and conducting research on Taiwan. It maintains a lending library of educational and documentary DVDs that are often used by teachers in school classes. The Press Division also organizes seminars and offers other services including free brochures, maps, pamphlets, posters and periodicals such as the magazine, Taiwan Review.
The Press Division has forged links with all of the states in the southeastern region it serves: Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina, Kentucky and Alabama.
