Director-General Douglas Y. T. Hsu Delivers Speech at Southern New Hampshire University

Director-General Douglas Y. T. Hsu of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Boston (TECO-Boston) delivered a speech titled “Taiwan and the U.S.: 40 Years On,” at the invitation of the World Affairs Council of New Hampshire (WACNH) at Southern New Hampshire University on September 19. Around 40 members of WACNH attended the event. Mr. Hsu elaborated on the historical background and current development of relations between the U.S. and Taiwan, cross strait relations, and the Taiwan government’s “New Southbound Policy”, which showcases the importance of Taiwan in the region and as a reliable partner of the U.S. in the Indo-Pacific. The WACNH audience raised many interesting questions during the Q & A session and expressed their appreciation for Director-General Hsu’s presentation.
