A Taiwanese aboriginal youth group visited Denver from July 5-9 to attend the 41st National Conference of the United National Indian Tribal Youth (UNITY). The Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Denver was also invited to attend the conference and promote Taiwanese aboriginal culture.
Director General Jerry Chang expressed his support and encouragement to the group. He said it’s a great opportunity for Taiwanese aboriginal young people to exchange culture and friendship with American Indian youth, as well as broaden their horizons.
Through singing, dancing, and playing introduction videos, the Taiwanese delegation of 7 members promoted its rich and colorful aboriginal culture at the annual conference. More than 2,000 participants enjoyed their performance. The delegation will also visit San Francisco and other U.S. major cities in the coming weeks.
