On behalf of the government of the Republic of China (Taiwan), and in response to Hawaii and American Samoa’s supports for medical providers’ needs in PPEs, Director-General Michael Tseng of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Honolulu donated the total of 110,000 surgical level face masks to the Hawaii State Government, the American Samoa Government, the City and County Governments in Hawaii State、the Office of Hawaiian Affairs, and the major medical facilities in May and June of 2020.
While those masks will be portioned to the health care professionals and first responders on the frontlines, it has showcased the spirit of “Taiwan can help, and Taiwan is helping”. Through continuous cooperation with the likeminded countries, Taiwan will contribute to the health and welfare of the international community.
